Halloween Countdown Printable

Halloween Countdown 20115

October is a busy and crazy month for us in our home. We have 2 more weeks until we are reunited with my husband, 3 1/2 weeks until Disneyland, 4 weeks until we move to Washington, and less than a week after that we celebrate Halloween! I wasn’t kidding when I said our month was busy… We have so many exciting things happening in the month of October, and JD is such a silly kid, he has to know when everything is happening. Because of this, we have to have countdowns to help him out.

We love countdowns in our house, and now that JD is familiar with his numbers, this is a great way for him to learn addition and subtraction. Now, if you’re like me and you just like to cross off days and see how many more days we have left until a certain holiday or big day, then this is just the thing for you. And, if you are in need of some more decorations in your house for Halloween, you’ll enjoy seeing this Halloween Countdown Printable everyday.

Halloween Goodie Bags

I am so excited for Halloween, and there are a couple of reasons for it. Number one, my husband has been away for army training since the middle of June, and two weeks before Halloween he’ll finally be done and be back home just in time for trick or treating. Number two, I’m pretty excited about my kids Halloween costumes this year. JD is only 4, so it took him a while to finally decide what he was going to be for Halloween. When he said that he wanted to be Woody for Halloween 3 times in a row, I knew he had “made up his mind.” I decided I was going to be ambitious this Halloween and “make” his costume this year! And when I say “make,” I mean pulling stuff together to make a costume, but hopefully not wasting too much money and maybe get to use some of the stuff again after Halloween is over.

With JD being Woody, Danny who will be 2 in three months (that’s so crazy!) will be Buzz Lighter! They’re going to look so cute together! My husband and I like to dress up too, so I’ll be Jessie and my husband’s thinking of going as Andy. JD and I kept coming up with a few different options for him… but he didn’t like the idea of being a green soldier, Rex, Mr. Potato Head, or the Piggy bank. At least Andy will be easy!

So, with Halloween on my mind, I’m getting a small head start on some Halloween printables. These Halloween Goodie Bags were quick and easy to make, and that’s what I love about them. I whipped three goodie bags in less than 10 minutes (that includes printing the printables, cutting, and setting up the sewing machine).

If you’re looking for something fun for your kids to pass out in their classes this Halloween, you’ll definitely be needing these!

Materials:

Paper

Scissors

Sewing machine

Small candy (Candy Corn, Hershey Nuggets, fun sized Kit Kat, etc)

Here’s how:

Halloween Goodie Bags

Cut out your printables.

Halloween Goodie Bags 2

Fold them in half. This makes it easier to sew without having to worry if the papers aren’t lined up.

Halloween Goodie Bags 3

Sew 3 sides and leave the top open.

Halloween Goodie Bags 4

Insert your candy of choice. It’s best to use small candy with these, like candy corn, or 1-2 Hershey Nuggets, etc. These aren’t very big pouches.

Halloween Goodie Bags 8

Sew the top closed and you’re done!

If you don’t have a sewing machine, you can staple the sides closed. If you don’t want to sew or staple them shut, I’ve included the front of the goodie bags that you can cut out and paste onto a bag. They’re perfect for any Halloween occasion, and your friends will love them!

Father’s Day Gift – “Sweet Reminders”

FATHER'S DAY GIFT 3

My husband is leaving for four months for Army training tomorrow and we are all so sad about it. I wanted to make something so he’d remember how much he means to us and wanted my kids to take part in it. He loved it, and before he opens a piece of chocolate he gets to see a reminder of why he is the World’s Greatest Dad!

This is such a fun little project to do with your kids and to let their Dad know how much he means to them. All you need is a mason jar and some Hershey’s Nuggets to wrap these printables around. For the Hershey’s Nugget wrappers, I’m sharing the one we did for my husband and you can pick and choose whatever best fits your Dad (or Grandpa) or have fun coming up with your own reasons of why your Dad is the World’s Greatest Dad. It’s the perfect “sentimental” gift to give for Father’s Day and a “Sweet Reminder” of why he’s awesome!

Father’s Day Gift Tags

Father's Day Tag

I was asked by the Relief Society in my ward to make a tag to attach to these awesome “bow tied” sweet treats for Father’s day. I was totally in love with this idea, and wanted these gift tags to fit the theme of the candy. These gift tags go perfect with any gift, and I’ve created them in four different colors to match any candy or gift wrap to give to Dad this weekend. What will you use these gift tags for?

Easter Cupcake Toppers & Liners

Easter Cupcake Topper and Liner Display

The Cadburry Eggs make another appearance! Seriously, I have no will power when it comes to these things. They are just so good, I’d trade them in for cupcakes! 🙂 Which is what I did in today’s project. I was used plain party cups (the size I used were 2 inch dia) and gave them a quick Easter “make over.” Here’s what I did.

Materials Needed:

Paper Party Cups (2 inch dia)

Tape

Scissors

Paper Straws

Side note: If you’re using regular cupcakes, download these cupcake liners in the following colors: Blue | Yellow | Green | Pink

Easter Cupcake Topper 1

1. Use these Party Cup Liner printables. Cut out your liner and make a circle.

Easter Cupcake Topper 2

2. Measure it around your party cup to make sure it will fit. It’s not going to be perfect on the bottom, but you won’t notice it unless you pick it up. Grab some tape and place it at the end of the liner.

3. Place some Easter Basket grass in the cup and insert your cupcake topper.

4. Strategically add your Easter Candy of choice to keep the cupcake topper standing, and you’re done!

Easter Gift Tags

Ever since I started this blog, I’ve bought more holiday candy than normal. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it’s not always a good thing since I lack self control when it comes to sweets. Luckily, I’ve made these cute little Easter Gift Tags to send this candy on it’s way out the door, if my family and I don’t eat it all before then (no promises). If you’re self control is better than ours, here are some cute Easter Gift Tags to use.

Mini Easter Baskets – Free Printable

Mini Easter Baskets Display

I have to admit, last year was the first year I ever had a Cadbury Egg (or it had been a VERY long time since I had one) and I fell in LOVE! I have been addicted to them and have to control myself whenever I have them in my house, so as you can imagine, taking pictures of these Mini Easter Baskets was not easy. On the other hand, these Mini Easter Baskets are very easy to put together.

You can use these as part of your table setting for the “Kids Table” (or the “Adult Table”) at Easter Dinner, use them for a party favor or a little treat to pass out to friends. I’ve created 5 different colored printable baskets, or you can use your own scrapbook paper and use the Blank Mini Easter Basket printable here to print on the back. They’re a fun addition to your Easter celebration and they’re totally budget friendly.

Here’s what you’ll need:

-Printer

-Mini Easter Basket Printable (grab the downloads below)  or (blank version here)

-Glue or Double Sided Tape

-Grass for Easter Baskets

-Easter Treat

-Easter Tags (download here)

-String

St. Patrick’s Day Banner & Cupcake Toppers

St. Patrick's Day Banner Display

I love making cupcake toppers! They’re so much fun to create and they turn a simple cupcake into a fun and festive treat for any holiday. These cupcake Toppers will make your St. Patrick’s Day Party a hit! I’m also sharing a St. Patrick’s Day banner that you can use to decorate your home, classroom, office or anywhere in between. This banner goes perfectly with the “Feeling Lucky” print I shared last week. Hope you’re all getting excited for St. Patrick’s Day!
