DIY Nightmare Before Christmas Shirt – Free SVG File

I absolutely love the tradition of making boo baskets for my kids every Halloween. It’s such a fun way to kick off the spooky season and show them a little extra love. Each year, I try to switch things up just a bit and this time, I decided to add a more personal touch to their baskets.

Now that my oldest is 14, it’s definitely getting trickier to find things he’ll actually enjoy or wear without an eye roll. But this year, I scored a win! I found some awesome Nightmare Before Christmas pajamas on Amazon, and let’s be honest, you really can’t go wrong with Jack Skellington.

To go along with the PJs, I decided to create a custom shirt that would match. I designed the graphic and used glow-in-the-dark iron-on vinyl to give it that extra spooky-fun vibe. It turned out so cool and even better, my teen actually liked it!

Here’s What I Used:

How to Make Your Own “Nightmare Before Christmas” Shirt:

  1. Download the Design
First, grab the FREE SVG file for the “Nightmare Before Christmas” design.
  2. Upload to Cricut Design Space
Open Cricut Design Space and upload your SVG file.
  3. Prepare Your Settings
    • Set your Cricut machine to the “Iron-On” setting.
    • Don’t forget to mirror your image before cutting, this is super important when using iron-on vinyl!
  4. Load and Cut
    • Place your glow-in-the-dark vinyl shiny side down on the cutting mat.
    • Load the mat and let the Cricut work its magic.
  5. Weed the Design
Use your weeding tool to carefully remove all the excess vinyl, leaving only your design behind.
  6. Prep the Shirt
    • Lay your black shirt on the Cricut EasyPress mat.
    • Use a lint roller to remove any fuzz or dust.
    • Preheat the shirt using your EasyPress to get rid of wrinkles and prep the fabric.
  7. Apply the Design
    • Place your design onto the shirt, centered.
    • Press with the EasyPress (refer to your vinyl’s instructions for temp & time).
    • Use the built-in Cricut timer for even pressure.
  8. Peel and Reveal!
    • Check your vinyl’s instructions to see whether you should peel the plastic carrier sheet while warm or cool.
    • Carefully remove the backing and you’re done!

There’s something really special about being able to make even small holidays feel magical and personalized. These little traditions are the ones I hope my kids will remember for years to come.

Memorial Day – Amazon Finds

Memorial is around the corner and if you’re hosting, you’re going to need some party essentials! Decoration is key to bringing the theme of the party to life. If you love hosting parties, these are decorations you can use throughout the summer! Here are some of my favorites.

Outdoor Decorations

I love the yard decorations on the neighbors front lawn! It helps give a warm welcome to guests coming to your house. Wreaths add another touch of beauty and aesthetic to the outside of your home. The best part is both of these decorations can stay up all summer long! If you’re hosting the party outside, you’re definitely going to need an ice cooler to keep those drinks nice and cold!

Decorations

The table is the focal point of the party, and where most people gather to eat and chat. A table runner adds a simple, yet festive look to your dining room. Add these faux flowers in mason jars as a centerpiece to add another level of decor to complete the look.

Serving Area

Serving food on decorative trays keeps the theme of the party going. I’m always on the look out for serving trays for every holiday, even if we’re not hosting. It just ads some fun to our holidays and the kids like to help pick them out. Add a banner over the serving area and a fun two-tiered decorative tray to tie it all together!

Hope you enjoy the summer!

Night Before Christmas Gift Tags

The night before Christmas gift tradition is one that is popular in many homes. These “Night Before Christmas” gift tags will help you remember which gifts can be open before Christmas!

Growing up, my parents let us chose one gift we could open the night before Christmas. I loved this tradition and I’m glad it was something my husband’s family did as well. Their tradition was the “Night Before Christmas” pajamas, and we’ve stuck with that since we’ve been married. I love it and it’s something my kids look forward to every Christmas. We’ve done matching pajamas, themed pajamas, cozy pajamas, you name it! While they may know that they’re going to be opening a set of pajamas the night before Christmas, there’s still an element of surprise, and it’s one more sleep until Christmas!

If you ever have the problem of misplacing those gifts under the tree or forget which gifts are supposed to be open the day before, these gift tags are the perfect solution! Simply cut out the printable, and tape them onto the gift, or use a hole puncher at the top of the tag and tie it with ribbon. These will be a life saver when you’re searching for those gifts the night before!

“No Peeking” Christmas Gift Tags

In case your friends and family need a little reminder, these “No Peeking” gift tags are a fun little add on to your Christmas presents.

When my kids see the presents starting to pile up under the Christmas tree, they want to poke around and count the number of presents there are. Sometimes, they’ll even try to shake their gift and try to guess what it is. While this is pretty typical of my kids (if not all kids), it is definitely tempting for them to want to open a present now. They are definitely old enough to resist the urge at this point, but seeing their excitement is so much fun and I can’t wait to see their faces on Christmas day!

While many of us already know that we have to wait until Christmas to open up our gifts, adding these fun “No Peeking” gift tags add a little silliness to your presents. You can add just the “No Peeking” gift tag by itself, or pair it with the “Special Delivery” tag to add a whimsical touch to your presents.

Print these off easily at home on some cardstock and you’ve got yourself a fun set of gift cards your friends and family will adore!

Christmas Hand Soap Printable Gift Tag

Soap can be a perfect gift for friends, neighbors and teachers! Add these Christmas Hand Soap printable gift tags to make it extra special!

If you know me, you know that I have a crazy obsession with Bath & Body Works! If you shop their sales, you always feel like you’ve shopped your way into a good deal. With the holidays quickly approaching, one of my favorite gifts to give is their Bath & Body Works soaps. Whenever there’s a deal on their soaps (which happens at least twice a month), I always try to snag a few more knowing that I’ll be gifting them down the road.

While their soaps already have cute designs that go with the seasons, I wanted to create a gift tag to tie around to give it a little extra “pizazz.” Print on cardstock, tie with a cute ribbon and you’ve created a thoughtful little gift!

Gratitude Jar Printables

November is a time to reflect and think about the things we are thankful for. It can be easy to forget sometimes, but taking a moment out of our busy lives to appreciate the things we have can help reduce stress and help us refocus on the things we have instead of lack.

For a festive activity for the kids, I thought it would be fun to take a jar and decorate it as a pumpkin and turn it into a gratitude jar. Print out the Gratitude Prompts, cut them out and place them in the jar. Each day, kids will be able to pull out a piece of paper and write what they are thankful for and place it back in the jar. Not only will you have a jar full of gratitude reminders, but it also serves as a cute decoration for your home!

Here’s what you’ll need:

Putting the gratitude jar is simple and kiddos will have fun with this fall craft!

  1. Paint the jar orange
  2. Paint the lid green or brown.
  3. Once the paint has dried, use hot glue to put the wooden spool on top of the jar.
  4. Grab some twine and cut enough to make a bow at the top.
  5. Print out and cut the Gratitude Prompt Printable.
  6. Hole punch the Gratitude Jar tag and tie it at the top to the wooden spool.
  7. Place the gratitude prompts inside the jar.

Printable Advent Calendar + 30 Activity Ideas

*Post may contain affiliate links

We’ve reached the end of the year and the busiest season of the year! My kids ask every year for an advent calendar and they absolutely love it. We’ve done a variety of advent calendars: candy, socks, activities, you name it! I will admit, their favorite has definitely been the candy ones, but I know they also love getting into the holiday spirit with Christmas activities.

Here is an advent calendar that you can print off and use for years. Knowing that every year is going to be different, you can also change the text so that you can plan the activities based on your schedule. The text can be changed in Canva and is free and easy to use!

Here’s what you’re going to need:

How to put it together:

  1. Print out the Advent Calendar Cover on cardstock.
  2. Using a cutting mat and precision/exacto knife, start cutting 3 sides of each box on the Advent Calendar so that it opens up like a door. You don’t want to cut off all of the sides on each box.
  3. To print out and/or change the text on the Activity Page, go to Canva and edit the text on the template.
  4. To print out the Activity Page, select “Share” at the top right corner, choose Download and for file type, choose PDF Print. Once you’ve selected the file type, click download.
  5. Line the Advent Calendar and Activity Page behind it.
  6. If using a matted frame, tape the pages to the matte and line up the 2nd page. If using a frame without a matte, sides down to fit a 8×10 frame.
